capesabeinne

Leo was looking forlorn. He was wearing his pirate hat but there was something missing. He had built a thin tower of Lego but it kept breaking and he kept resassembling it. He asked for a "capesabeinne" but this did not really help mum and dad understand what he wanted.  We went for a walk in the house to see if we could identify something resembling a "capesabeinne".  In the office he rushed to the shelf, shuffled around and then, with a big smile, proudly stuck the ruler in the air.

Now it made sense.  The little pirate needed a sword!  He didn't know the word for sword.  His attempt to explain himself was actually perfectly descriptive but mum and dad were too dumb:  "Kapten Sabeltann Pinne"
